Photo 365! – Top of the Rock Pano

So, this is photo #365! I finally completed my 1st 365 daily photo project! This project has been quite an experience… at times, it was a challenge to find the time to shoot new materials to post while at other times, it was a challenge to find interesting things or perspectives to shoot. I probably spent 365 hours or more over the past year with this project if I count the time I spent driving/traveling/taking the shot/post-processing/editing/posting all the shots. The end result I hope was a year filled with interesting photos for you to look at, and hopefully enjoyed. For me, the sheer commitment to keep up with this project has made me better my techniques and challenged me to find new landscapes/subjects to shoot. Above all though, this process made me stop and appreciate the moment, time, or place that much more when I photographed it. To me, that’s the greatest gift of photography… if you take the time to learn to photograph, it will teach you to really stop and smell the roses.
Thanks everyone for following my blog for this past year. Going forward, I will keep posting but no longer on a daily basis. I will post as often as I can, especially if I do any traveling. I will also spend more time creating more artistic/creative shoots and as these take significantly more time to develop, posting on a daily basis would be impossible. I look forward to hearing from you in the future should any of my future pictures or images grab your attention. Thank you to all of you who’ve supported me with you comments and favorites. Finally, a quick work about today’s photo – this was taking just this week at Top of the Rock, Rockefeller Center in NYC around 11:30pm. It was a beautiful, clear, and warm summer night.
